Krzysztof Soszynski (born August 2, 1977 in Stalowa Wola, Poland) is a Polish-Canadian professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He fought for the Los Angeles Anacondas of the International Fight League (IFL). After the demise of that organization, he moved to the UFC, appearing on season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter.
Krzysztof is currently ranked #10 by Sportsnet.ca's Canadian pound-for-pound MMA rankings.Soszynski comes from a different background than many IFL athletes: he was a professional wrestler for a time. After learning some Jiu Jitsu moves from fellow professional wrestler Bad News Brown who was a bronze medalist at an Olympic games, Soszynski decided that his future was in mixed martial arts.
A ‘ground and pound' specialist, he has also improved his striking tremendously and is competent both standing and on the mat. He also trains under Dan Henderson at Team Quest in Temecula, California alongside Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou.
While on The Ultimate Fighter Soszynski lost in the semi finals to Vinicius Magalhaes.
Soszynski made his debut against Shane Primm, whom he defeated by kimura. It was awarded submission of the night. Soszynski is scheduled for his next fight against Brian Stann.
