Andre Amade vs. Katsunori Kikuno slated for DREAM 10
by Jacob Camargo on May 22, 2009

With DREAM 9 less then a week away, the Japanese promotion is busy filling their July event. A lightweight battle between Andre "Dida" Amade and DEEP lightweight champion Katsunori Kikuno has been officially added to DREAM 10. The news of the bout surfaced from popular MMA site Tatame.com.

Andre Amade will make his return to MMA following a loss to two-time K-1 champion Buakaw Por Pramuk at K-1 World Max Final 16 last month. Amade (6-3-1) is currently on a two-fight losing streak with losses to Gesias Cavalcante and most recently Eddie Alvarez at DREAM 1 in March 2008. "Dida" holds a decision victory over Caol Uno and a TKO win over Hiroyuki Takaya.

Kikuno is riding an eight-fight win streak, with a recent victory over Koichiro Matsumoto at DEEP 41 in April. Kikuno sports a stellar 11-1-1 MMA record and has fought all but one of his career fights in the DEEP promotion. Kikuno hasn't lost since 2006 when he failed to finish Luiz Andrade I.

DREAM 10 is set to take place on July 20 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Also featured on the card, will be a rubber match between WAMMA lightweight champion Shinya Aoki and DREAM 2008 lightweight grand prix winner Joachim Hansen for the lightweight strap. The semi-final and final of the welterweight division tournament will also take place at DREAM 10.
