Wrestling lightweights Nik Lentz (20-3-2) and Waylon Lowe (10-3) have been slated to face each other at UFC Fight Night 24, according to MMADiehards.com.
UFC Fight Night 24 takes place in Seattle, Washington on March 26th. It airs live on Spike TV.
The Lentz/Lowe bout is expected to take place on the unaired preliminary portion of the card.
Lentz comes into the bout with an undefeated record inside the Octagon and a three fight winning streak. "The Carny" hasn't lost in 13 bouts, but has suffered two draws during that time. In his last bout he won a controversial split decision over Tyson Griffin at UFC 123. His grinding, takedown heavy style has been criticized by many fans as being woefully boring.
Lowe enters the fight on a two-fight winning streak inside the UFC. He lost to Melvin Guillard in his Octagon debut but has since bounced back with decision victories over Steve Lopez and Williamy Freire. Lowe has been compared to a young Sean Sherk for his Hulk-like physique and wrestling-centric style.
UFC Fight Night 24 is headlined by a light heavyweight fight between former champion Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Ortiz will be fighting for his spot in the promotion, as he hasn't won a fight since 2006.
