Roy "Big Country" Nelson and Wes Sims will reportedly join Kimbo Slice and ex-NFL players Brendan Schaub, Marcus Jones, Matt Mitrione, and Wes Shivers. and Marcus Jones on the cast of The Ultimate Fighter: The Heavyweights.
The all heavyweight show, which began filming last week, will feature true life rivals Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans as opposing coaches and is set to premiere on Spike TV September 16.
Former IFL champion Roy Nelson (13-3) is coming off a loss to Andrei Arlovski at EliteXC: Heat back in October of 2008. The Lion's Den product was riding a 5-fight win streak before succumbing to Arlovski via second round knockout.
Six-foot-ten UFC veteran Wes Sims (22-12-1) has won his past three fights, but is just 3-3 in his past six. The colorful Sims will look to add comic relief and hijinks to the show as he attempts to work his way back to the UFC. Sims is 0-3 in the organization including back-to-back losses to Frank Mir and a loss to Mike Kyle.
